What You Bring:

• Experience in school or behavioral settings, particularly preschool, is required for aides
• Current New York Teacher’s Assistant Certification required for assistant roles
• Previous work as a CNA or with medically involved and wheelchair-bound students preferred for some positions
• Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for helping young people succeed
• Adaptability and a willingness to support students with varying abilities, including nonverbal communication needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a 1:1 aide in autism and multi-disabled classrooms, supporting daily activities and learning
• Assist high school students with daily living skills, academics, and communication
• Work closely with healthcare and instructional teams to ensure safety and engagement
• Participate in relevant training, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) offered in October
• Maintain a positive, respectful environment that nurtures student confidence and independence
