Desired Qualifications:
- An Associate’s Degree or higher, OR
- 48 college units and a high school diploma, OR
- Passing of CBEST and a high school diploma, OR
- Passing the district’s instructional aide exam and a high school diploma
- Additional certifications in areas such as first aid/CPR, anti-seizure medication administration, sign language, or vision impairment support highly valued
- Willingness and ability to perform all required tasks, including toileting, feeding (including G-tube if trained), and mobility assistance
- Experience in supporting students with social-emotional or behavioral needs is a plus
- Sign language or Braille skills (preferred for certain assignments)
- Unrestricted flexibility in assignments, with an energetic, team-oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and one-on-one instructional support for students in special education programs
- Assist with personal care duties as needed, including feeding, toileting, and medical procedures
- Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that encourages student growth and self-confidence
- Collaborate with teaching staff, related service providers, and administrators
- Ensure reliable attendance and a proactive approach to workplace responsibilities
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
Positions are available at the pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as for bus aides with unique travel and supervision responsibilities.
