Classroom Aide | Newark, Delaware

Make a difference every day by supporting young learners in their educational journey. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide essential programmatic assistance to kindergarten classrooms for approximately 60 days, supporting school-wide initiatives at the elementary level. Located on-site near Newark, DE, you’ll work alongside passionate educators and dedicated staff to deliver inclusive, impactful classroom support.

Qualifications:

• Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit is mandatory; applications with a pending permit must provide a screenshot from the DEEDS portal
• At least one year of experience as a Paraprofessional in a school setting is preferred
• Willingness to undergo $85 CBC fingerprinting as part of the hiring process
• Background in supporting children within an elementary or early childhood environment is highly valued
• Professional, reliable, and caring demeanor essential for success in the classroom

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive support across kindergarten classrooms, tailoring assistance to both individual and group needs
• Collaborate actively with lead teachers to facilitate programmatic and behavioral initiatives
• Model and reinforce appropriate classroom behaviors and learning strategies to encourage student engagement and growth
• Assist in implementing daily routines and instructional activities under guidance from certified staff
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students
