Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Paraprofessional in a welcoming school environment just outside Minneapolis, MN. This contract opportunity spans from now through June 2026, with multiple openings available and a consistent need for dedicated professionals. Work full-time, directly on-site, supporting a district recognized for its innovative “focus program” and ongoing commitment to student success.
Candidates should have:
- At least two years of college credits from an accredited institution, or an associate degree or higher
- Alternatively, a passing score on an approved formal academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher), or demonstrated competencies as specified by the approved MDE competency grid
- A PCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one—free and less than an hour to complete)
- Documentation, including proof of education or assessment and PCA certification, ready for submission with your application
- Willingness to attend a required in-person Wednesday afternoon orientation upon hire
Responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day classroom support to students, with a special emphasis on those in the focus program
- Assisting special education teachers and engaging one-on-one or in small groups with students who have diverse learning needs
- Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Adapting to the evolving needs of students throughout the year
