Desired skills and experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in an education support capacity working with K-12 students
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to follow teacher and district guidelines to implement educational and behavioral strategies
• Comfort in providing individualized attention as well as support in group settings
• Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a positive approach to working with diverse learners
• Background check and compliance with school district requirements

Role responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in classroom instruction, behavior management, and individualized interventions
• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to students as assigned, helping promote engagement and academic success
• Support the classroom environment by encouraging student participation and maintaining a safe, respectful atmosphere
• Help implement lesson plans and accommodate modifications for students with specific needs
• Collaborate with educators and specialists to support student development and progress
• Maintain accurate records of student activities and progress as needed
