Key Qualifications:

• Fluent proficiency in American Sign Language is required
• High school diploma or higher; transcripts must be provided if hired
• Previous experience working in a school setting
• Compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse communication needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist students in middle school classrooms to enhance communication and participation
• Interpret and facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers using ASL
• Support teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Contribute to progress monitoring by keeping clear records and sharing observations
• Encourage student independence while offering guidance as needed
