Desired Qualifications:
- One of the following: Associate’s Degree or higher; or 48 college units and high school diploma; or passing the CBEST or paraprofessional/Instructional Aide exam with high school diploma
- Any of the following specializations highly valued: experience in emergency health care procedures (e.g., CPR, seizure medication training, G-tube feeding), behavioral support (one year or more), sign language proficiency, or background in Braille/vision impairment
- Relevant licenses/certifications (such as LVN, CPR, First Aid) where required
- At least six months of recent paraprofessional experience in a school setting preferred
- Commitment to completing required health and safety trainings (some offered by the district)
- Strong team focus; must be willing to accept assignment needs as directed by campus administration
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in classrooms and throughout campus under teacher and principal direction
- Provide individualized student support, including health and behavioral needs
- Perform tasks such as toileting, feeding, mobility, and personal care
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
- Participate in ongoing district-provided or required training
This contract position offers variable daily and weekly hours depending on assignment level (Pre-K, Elementary, Middle/High School, or Bus Aide). Paraprofessionals play a pivotal role in fostering student growth and supporting educational success.
