Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree, or 48 college units and a high school diploma, or passing scores on both the CBEST/instructional aide exam and high school diploma
  • For specialized roles (S10E, S10F, S10Q, S10W, S20D, S20V, S22), additional qualifications such as first aid/CPR, vocational nursing license, sign language fluency, or Braille proficiency may apply
  • Physical ability to support students and stand for extended periods if required
  • Willingness to undertake all assigned responsibilities, including personal care tasks and health-related supports
  • Past experience as a school-based paraprofessional (preferred, especially for S10Q roles)
  • Team orientation with the ability to work with diverse staff and student populations
  • Open to placements across Pre-K, elementary, middle, high school, or as a bus aide

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional areas as assigned
  • Assist with daily living tasks, health procedures, and specialized care as needed
  • Facilitate communication, including sign language or Braille if required
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to deliver individualized student support
  • Attend assigned training modules and maintain current certifications

This contract role offers a starting pay of $34.25 or above per hour, depending on assignment and credentials.
