Help empower student success as a dedicated paraprofessional supporting learners in a dynamic school environment near Andover, MN. This contract role offers opportunities to make a meaningful difference throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, with immediate openings available. Paraprofessionals will work either in resource or center-based settings, collaborating closely with educators to support students' academic and personal growth.
What you bring:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus ONE of the following pathways:
- At least two years of college credits (typically 60 semester hours) from an accredited institution
- An associate’s degree or higher
- Passing score on an approved basic skills assessment (such as 455+ on the ParaPro Assessment or 65%/70% on ParaEducator tests)
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and a nurturing approach with students of varied abilities
Your responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in delivering engaging instruction and providing classroom support
- Reinforce learning activities and modify materials as needed for individual student needs
- Support students throughout their daily routines, including academic tasks and personal care
- Promote a safe, productive, and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Collaborate with educational team members and help implement individualized educational plans (IEPs), as applicable
