Occupational Therapist School Setting in Waldoboro, ME

Make an immediate impact as an onsite occupational therapist, supporting students' development and success at a welcoming educational setting near Waldoboro, Maine. This contract opportunity allows for a consistent, one-day-per-week schedule at a single school location, working with a manageable caseload of approximately 11 students. You’ll deliver targeted direct services for four hours, with additional time allotted for indirect work and documentation.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to ensure students receive high-quality occupational therapy, fostering both their academic and personal growth. The school offers flexibility regarding your preferred workday, making it possible to balance this assignment with other professional or personal commitments. This role begins as soon as possible and continues through June 11, 2027, ensuring continuity for the students you serve.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, valid Maine Occupational Therapy certification
• Experience providing OT services in school settings
• Understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to deliver both direct and consultative OT services

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized OT interventions for students as outlined in their education plans
• Maintain up-to-date records and complete indirect service paperwork
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents for student success
• Adjust and adapt strategies to best support student needs in the school environment
