School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Surprise, AZ
Term: 2026/2027 School Year
Hours: Full-Time | 8 hours/day (School Schedule)
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based position in Surprise, Arizona for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will work directly with students to assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions that support their academic success and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to determine students' functional capabilities and needs within the educational environment.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals integrated with student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
Provide direct therapy services to students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and daily living skills.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff to provide strategies, accommodations, and assistive technology recommendations.
Maintain accurate, compliant documentation of student progress, evaluation reports, and service logs.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria at the time of application:
Licensure: Active and valid Arizona Occupational Therapist License issued by the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
Clearance: A valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC) issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a school district or pediatric setting.
Strong knowledge of school-based therapy models and IDEA regulations.
