Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sanford, NC

Key Qualifications:

• Active and clear North Carolina OT license required
• OTR (Registered Occupational Therapist) credential
• Strong knowledge of school-based OT practices and regulations
• Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families
• Ability to adapt and tailor treatment plans for individual student needs
• Reliable, organized, and self-motivated

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations, direct interventions, and ongoing support for students according to IEPs/504 plans
• Assess motor, sensory, and functional performance in school environments
• Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administration, and families
• Document progress, participate in meetings, and recommend adaptive equipment or modifications as appropriate
• Manage caseload effectively, prioritizing and responding to varying needs
• Contribute to a positive, supportive school culture
