Orientation and Mobility Specialist (O&M) - Deltona, Florida
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K–12 students as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist. This contract position will enable you to make a direct impact in local school communities, focusing primarily on compensatory services and direct therapy, with occasional evaluations as needed. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. Travel professionals are welcome, and you’ll work on-site within the Oviedo and Sanford areas.

Key Qualifications:
- National Orientation and Mobility (O&M) licensure and active Vision certification
- Experience working with K–12 populations, preferably in school settings
- Familiarity with compensatory services and conducting student evaluations
- Valid driver’s license and social security card required
- Ability to provide a physical copy of your professional O&M license
- Completion of credentialing steps, including fingerprinting (Form 1403 and Field Print receipt), I9, and demographic form
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct O&M therapy services to students based on IEP requirements and compensatory needs
- Conduct student evaluations as needed to support educational teams
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure optimal outcomes
- Serve multiple school sites as assigned (number TBD), adapting to a dynamic, supportive environment
- Maintain detailed documentation in line with district standards
