English as a Second Language (ESL) Gen Ed Teacher - New Orleans, Louisiana

Make a positive impact in students’ lives as a General Education and ESL Teacher in a dynamic K-12 environment near New Orleans, LA. In this full-time contract opportunity, you’ll collaborate with dedicated education professionals to foster academic growth and language acquisition for a diverse student population. The assignment runs through the end of May, perfectly aligning with the academic school calendar.

Your week will include 35 hours on campus, Monday through Friday, with a daily schedule of seven working hours and a half-hour lunch break. You’ll enjoy forming connections with students, guiding English language learners, and adapting your instructional approach for an engaging, inclusive classroom learning experience.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Louisiana DOE teaching certificate required
• ESL teaching experience strongly preferred
• Previous K-12 teaching experience in a general education setting
• Completion of drug screening and district fingerprinting for credentialing
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging daily lessons tailored to the needs of English language learners and general education students
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed
• Liaise with school staff, administrators, and families to support student achievement
• Keep thorough records of attendance, learning outcomes, and student growth
• Comply with all school policies, district regulations, and credentialing requirements
