Mathematics Gen Ed Teacher - Kenner, Louisiana

Inspire students and shape the future as a dedicated Math Educator, teaching Algebra I to high schoolers in a dynamic classroom environment. This is an onsite, full-time contract opportunity for a skilled teacher ready to make a meaningful impact, serving students through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.

Your role will focus on delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in Algebra I, helping students build strong math foundations and develop critical thinking skills. Working closely with school staff, you'll design lessons, assess student progress, provide differentiated support, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Math Educator Certificate authorizing instruction at the high school level
• Demonstrated experience teaching high school math, specifically Algebra I
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
• Ability to connect with and motivate diverse learners
• Commitment to fostering student achievement in a supportive environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Algebra I lessons aligned with curriculum guidelines
• Assess students’ understanding and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
• Track academic progress and maintain accurate records
• Foster a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, curiosity, and respect
• Collaborate with colleagues, school leaders, and families to support student success

This contract position offers the chance to contribute to a vibrant school community, with a full-time schedule (35 hours/week) running from now through May 26, 2027.
