Mathematics General Education Teacher | Gretna, Louisiana

This contract position offers the opportunity to engage with learners in a vibrant school setting near Gretna, LA, with the flexibility of covering one or more campuses as determined by the district. The role is full-time, following the school calendar, and begins as soon as possible through the end of May 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) Teaching Certificate required (substitute certificates and Teaching Authorizations will not be accepted)
- Proven experience teaching high school Math preferred
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Availability for a full-time schedule: 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday), with a 7-hour day and 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Readiness to complete both district-mandated drug screening and fingerprinting as part of the credentialing process
Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging mathematics instruction to high school students in accordance with curriculum standards
- Develop lesson plans and assess student progress
- Adapt teaching approaches to support individual learning styles
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, grading, and student achievement
