In this on-site role, you’ll empower students to explore key concepts in health science, leveraging your expertise to design engaging lessons and foster a positive learning environment. Your background in science education—and a preference for a health science endorsement or a related field like chemistry, anatomy, or general science—will be invaluable in helping students grasp complex topics.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license and Professional Educator License (PEL) are required (not open to sub licensure).
- Relevant health science endorsement or closely related credentials preferred (chemistry, anatomy, science).
- Experience teaching or facilitating science curriculum at the junior high or middle school level is valuable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive academic environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in health science to junior high students.
- Develop lesson plans and adapt the science curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
