This contract opportunity features a consistent weekday schedule, running from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm, giving you reliable hours while leaving late afternoons free for personal pursuits.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Understanding of IEPs and school-based therapy documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Collaborative spirit and willingness to work closely with OTs, educators, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of licensed OTs
- Implement intervention plans and suggest adaptations to foster student participation in school activities
- Support the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Assist in screening and assessment activities as directed
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress notes
- Participate in team meetings, contributing observations and insights to support students’ needs
