What you’ll bring:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Valid state licensure as required by California regulations
- Previous experience supporting pediatric or elementary caseloads, preferably in a school-based setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Adaptability and a genuine passion for empowering young learners
- Understanding of IEP processes and the ability to document progress efficiently
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for elementary students
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to classroom routines and student needs
- Assist in conducting assessments and documenting student progress to help guide therapy approaches
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to maximize student participation and performance in daily activities
- Maintain accurate records and contribute insights during team meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment within the school community
