Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school setting. Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is preferred
- Familiarity with K-12 individualized education programs (IEPs) and relevant documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff
- Must be comfortable working onsite in an educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support occupational therapists in delivering therapy services to K-12 students
- Implement treatment plans tailored to individual students’ needs as directed by the supervising OT
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Collaborate with educators and parents to support students’ functional skills in the classroom environment
- Adapt activities and materials to promote students’ participation and independence
- Contribute to meetings and multidisciplinary team efforts regarding student development
