Audiologist School Audiologist - Schertz, TX

Step into a fulfilling school-based role where you’ll support students from Pre-K to 12th grade as a dedicated audiologist. You’ll have Mission Academy as your primary home base, with occasional travel to other nearby campuses in the district to provide essential hearing assessments, troubleshooting, and follow-up care. Most students will be bussed into central locations, streamlining your caseload and maximizing your effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Audiology
• At least 5 years of experience in educational audiology or a related school setting
• ASHA certification (waivers considered per district guidelines)
• Texas state licensure to dispense and repair hearing aids and practice as an audiologist
• Successful completion of all required examinations
• Ability to pass criminal background checks and state fingerprinting requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hearing needs for students across the district, generally working from central (Mission Academy) and satellite locations
• Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings, assessments, and follow-up tests as needed
• Collaborate with the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Coordinator, educators, and itinerant support teams to ensure continuity of care
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair hearing aids and assistive technology
• Provide recommendations and actionable insights for educational accommodations and support plans
• Maintain meticulous documentation and comply with all local and state requirements
