Audiologist School Audiologist - San Antonio, TX

Step into a vital, student-focused role as a school-based Audiologist in the San Antonio, TX area. Providing essential hearing services for pre-K through 12th grade, you’ll work primarily at a central academy, while occasionally traveling to a cluster of campuses throughout the district. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, supported by district coordination, ensuring you can make the greatest impact across a diverse caseload.

In this contract position, you’ll manage hearing assessments, device fittings, and troubleshooting, supporting approximately 50 students districtwide. With most students bussed into the main site and occasional visits to other campuses, you’ll enjoy a dynamic workday, problem-solving and advocating for students’ success.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Audiology required
• At least 5 years of audiology experience in school settings or equivalent
• ASHA Certification (waiver available to ASHA certificate holders for state requirements)
• Texas state license to practice
• State license to fit and repair hearing aids
• Successful completion of relevant licensure exam
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
• Experience supporting PK-12th grade students preferred

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations
• Fit, program, and repair hearing aids for students as needed
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting and scheduled support for districtwide cases
• Collaborate with itinerant teachers and special education coordinators
• Maintain accurate records according to school requirements
• Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
• Travel occasionally to assigned campuses within the district
