Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California teaching credential, specializing in Adaptive Physical Education
- Prior experience providing adaptive physical education services to students with diverse abilities preferred
- Ability to adapt curriculum and physical activities to meet individualized education plan (IEP) goals
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passionate about promoting physical wellness, inclusion, and student achievement
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct adaptive physical education instruction to students across multiple school sites as part of an itinerant team
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized lesson plans and IEP goals tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, special educators, therapists, and families
- Conduct ongoing assessments and document student progress
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages participation and growth in all students
