Caseload: Ages 0-22
Location: Onsite in Woodland, CA
About the Role:
We are actively seeking a compassionate and qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in Woodland, CA. This position offers the opportunity to work with students ranging from infants to young adults, providing individualized support and education tailored to their unique needs. As a TVI, you’ll collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with team members.
- Customize teaching methods and materials to suit the needs of each student.
- Partner with families and school staff to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, making adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Prior experience working with students ages 0-22 is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A commitment to fostering independence and success in students with visual impairments.
