Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Palatine, IL
Position Type: Full-Time (8:25 AM - 3:05 PM)
Openings: 4 Available
1st Opening: General Education K-5 Caseload
- Caseload: Primarily Gen Ed K-5 students.
- Additional Duties: Work with a few students in 2 self-contained classrooms for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Speech needs in these classrooms will be addressed, but they will not be the major focus.
- Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers to support students.
2nd, 3rd, and 4th Openings: Self-Contained Autism Classrooms
- Caseload: K-5 elementary students (approximately 10 students)
- Role: Serve as the primary SLP for a self-contained Autism classroom.
- Collaboration: Co-teach and work closely with the classroom teacher, spending the majority of the day in the classroom (excluding planning time, lunch, and breaks).
- Focus: Help students with autism develop their communication skills within a highly supportive, integrated environment.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP.
- Experience with K-5 students preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
