Full-Time School-Based Special Education Teacher – Norwood Young America, MN

We have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Special Education Teacher in Norwood Young America, MN! If you are passionate about working with young learners and have experience supporting children with developmental delays and ASD, we want you to join our team!

Position Highlights:

• Location: Norwood Young America, MN
• Start Date: 2024-2025 School Year
• Caseload: Early Childhood (Mainly Developmental Delay, possibly ASD)
• Schedule: Full-Time (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM), Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for young children.
• Provide direct instruction and support in an Early Childhood classroom setting.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to monitor and support student progress.
• Foster a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment for children with developmental delays and ASD.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher License.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education.
• Experience working with early childhood children, particularly with developmental delays and ASD, is preferred.

Position Details:

• Classroom: Early Childhood
• Hours per Week: Full-Time (approximately 40 hours per week)
• Weekly Pay: Competitive salary based on experience

• Contract Duration: 2024-2025 school year with the option to extend for summer school
