School-Based Special Education Teacher – Highland Park, IL

We’re looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a dynamic team in Highland Park, Illinois. This position involves working with students in a self-contained, low cognitive/high needs ELS classroom. If you’re passionate about supporting students with unique learning needs and want to work in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction for students in a self-contained classroom
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Support students with diverse learning needs in academic, social, and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure student success

Qualifications:

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS I) or Learning Behavior Specialist II (LBS II) required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
• Experience working with students with low cognitive/high needs is preferred

Position Details:

• Location: Highland Park, IL
• Classroom: Self-contained low cognitive/high needs ELS classroom
• Caseload: 1 position available
• Hours per Week: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
• Dates: January 6 – May 30, 2025
• Weekly Pay: Competitive salary based on experience
