Full-Time Special Education Teacher – Forest Park, Illinois (Middle School)

We’re hiring a Special Education Teacher for a middle school resource position in Forest Park, Illinois. If you’re passionate about working with middle school students (grades 6-8) and creating individualized education plans to support their academic success, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to middle school students with special needs in a resource classroom.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and track student progress to ensure academic and behavioral success.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certification: Must hold a current Illinois Special Education certification.
• Experience working with middle school students is preferred.

Position Details:

• Classroom: Resource Classroom (Grades 6-8)
• Hours per Week: Full-Time
• Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
• Benefits: Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K plan.
• Contract Duration: ASAP start through the current school year, with an option to extend for the 2024-2025 school year.
