Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week | Onsite Only

Are you an experienced Special Education Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young students? Join us in Berwyn, IL to work with a supportive team in self-contained classrooms for students in Kindergarten and 2nd grade. With two paras in each classroom, you'll have a collaborative environment to focus on providing individualized support to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students in self-contained classrooms, including one structured Kindergarten classroom (ASD) and one Instructional classroom (K & 2nd grade).
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Work closely with 2 paraprofessionals per classroom to provide tailored support.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports students’ academic and social development.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Special Education License (SPED) and Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
• Experience with ASD and self-contained classrooms preferred.

Position Details:

• Classroom: Self-contained classrooms for Kindergarten & 2nd grade students.
• Hours per Week: 37.5 hours per week
• Weekly Pay: Competitive pay based on experience.
• Benefits: Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K plan.
• Contract Duration: ASAP – June 3, 2025, with an option to extend for the 2024-2025 school year.
