Special Education Teacher Position in Augusta, GA

Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Augusta, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time

End Date: June 7, 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt lessons and instructional materials to meet the needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and other support staff to provide inclusive education.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to meet IEP goals.
• Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Georgia Teaching Certification in Special Education.
• Experience with K-12 special education caseloads preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies.

Schedule & Benefits:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Requirements:

• Experience working with students with Autism and behavioral challenges.
• Special Education certification is preferred, but all qualified candidates will be considered.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
