Responsibilities:

• Teach and support 9 students with various disabilities, using individualized strategies.
• Provide assistance with feeding and changing as required.
• Support students who use AAC devices and implement behavior plans.
• Work with general education teachers to modify assignments and provide accommodations.
• Develop and manage IEPs, and lead IEP meetings.
• Supervise and mentor paraprofessionals assisting students in general education classrooms.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education is required.
• Experience working with students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and AAC devices preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Position Details:

• Classroom: Elementary program with 9 students (K-5).
• Hours per Week: Full-time, 4-day school week.
• Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
