Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs for K-2nd grade students in a Life Skills classroom
• Tailor teaching strategies to meet the needs and learning styles of each student
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to enhance student success
• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting IEPs as necessary

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in Life Skills, is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A genuine passion for helping students succeed

Position Details:

• Classroom: K-2nd grade Life Skills
• Hours per Week: 35 hours
• Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience
• Benefits: Full benefits package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K
• Contract Duration: Current school year (2024-2025)
