Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs for K-2nd grade students in a Life Skills classroom
- Tailor teaching strategies to meet the needs and learning styles of each student
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to enhance student success
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting IEPs as necessary
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in Life Skills, is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A genuine passion for helping students succeed
Position Details:
- Classroom: K-2nd grade Life Skills
- Hours per Week: 35 hours
- Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience
- Benefits: Full benefits package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K
- Contract Duration: Current school year (2024-2025)
