Special Education Teacher Needed in Rock Hill, SC

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with intellectual disabilities? Join us as a Special Education Teacher at Old Pointe Elementary in Rock Hill, SC! This is a full-time role in a supportive, self-contained classroom environment designed to meet the needs of students with moderate intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a self-contained classroom of 14 elementary students.
• Collaborate with 2 classroom assistants to create an inclusive, structured learning environment.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support each student’s unique needs.

Qualifications:

• South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience and comfort working with students with intellectual disabilities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with classroom assistants and school staff.

Position Details:

• Location: Old Pointe Elementary, Rock Hill, SC.
• Hours per Week: Full-time, 37.5 hours.
• Weekly Pay: Competitive rates.

Contract Duration: Current school year, 2024-2025.
