Special Education Teacher (SPED Emotional Support)

Location: Jefferson, Maine
Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite Only on a W2 contract
Dates: ASAP – ESY (Extended School Year) 6/12/25
Hours: 40 hours per week
Caseload: Primarily K-3, with a few middle-grade students
Number of Positions: 1

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with emotional support needs.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Create a structured and supportive classroom environment to promote learning and emotional growth.
Communicate effectively with families, staff, and administrators to ensure student success.

Requirements:

Active Maine Special Education Teaching Certification.
Experience with K-3 students and knowledge of emotional support strategies preferred.
