Position Overview:

Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Bloomfield, NJ (Onsite)
Grade Levels: K-12
Employment Type: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Term: Current school year, with potential to extend into summer and the 2024-2025 academic year

Key Responsibilities:

Create and implement personalized learning plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs
Modify curriculum and teaching methods to support various learning abilities
Provide direct and small-group instruction in alignment with state standards
Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals
Track and document student progress, behavioral development, and educational milestones
Communicate effectively with parents and school staff to ensure student growth

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid New Jersey Special Education Certification
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
Experience working with students requiring individualized support
Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
Passionate about inclusive education and student success
