School Social Worker Full-Time – 2022-2023 School Year – Las Vegas, NV

Sunbelt is hiring a flexible and compassionate School Social Worker to join our academic team in Las Vegas, NV. This school Social Worker will provide direct and indirect school social work services as a related service in support of K-12^th grade. If you are passionate about working with parents and teachers to help develop effective ways of handling disruptive behavior, how to help manage crisis situations, and meet the minimum requirements, you are encouraged to apply today.

Responsibilities:

Assist teacher and parents in developing and implementing behavior management plants to remediate problem behaviors
Assist students to improve their academic, personal, and social functioning
Manage student and classroom behavior
Provide social skills, anger management, stress reduction, or other similar instruction
Provide short-term individual and group counseling to students who are experiencing social/emotional/behavioral problems that interfere with learning

Details:

Work On-Site at School Location
Full-Time: 35-40 hours/week
Student caseload – Variety of Needs, K-12th
August 8th – June 6th

Requirements:

One year experience as a School or Pediatric Social Worker
Active Nevada School Social Worker License by NV Board of Teaching
Specialization in trauma and/or behavior (preferred)
COVID vaccination or participate in weekly COVID testing

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree, Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work
