School Social Worker Full-Time – 2022-2023 School Year – Saginaw, MI

Sunbelt is hiring a flexible and compassionate School Social Worker to join our academic team in Saginaw, MI. This on-site school Social Worker will provide direct and indirect school social work services as a related service in support of K-12^th grade. Work On-Site at School Location
Full-Time: 35-40 hours/week
Student caseload – Variety of Needs, K-12th
2022-2023 School Year

Responsibilities:

Assist teacher and parents in developing and implementing behavior management plants to remediate problem behaviors
Assist students to improve their academic, personal, and social functioning
Manage student and classroom behavior
Provide social skills, anger management, stress reduction, or other similar instruction
Provide short-term individual and group counseling to students who are experiencing social/emotional/behavioral problems that interfere with learning

Requirements:

One year experience as a School or Pediatric Social Worker
Active MI School Social Worker License by Michigan Board of Teaching
Specialization in trauma and/or behavior (preferred)
COVID vaccination or participate in weekly COVID testing

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree, Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work
