Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Job Opening in Shiprock, NM

Bilingual Therapies is seeking a passionate Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) this current school year for a contract position located in Shiprock, NM. 
Qualifications:

• Active NM SLI Licensure - Must have 4.0 EIPA Score
• At least 2 years of school experience required
• Must pass drug screen and background check upon offer

Job Details:

• 2024-2025 school year
• Full Time (37.5 hours/week)
• Onsite / W2

Responsibilities include:

• Interpret spoken language into sign language (and vice versa) during classroom instruction
• Bridge the communication gap between deaf or hard of hearing students and their peers, teachers, and other school personnel
• Serve as cultural and linguistic mediators, helping to bridge any cultural gaps between the deaf or hard of hearing student and their hearing peers and educators
