School Psychologist - Ashtabula, OH
Bilingual Therapies is seeking a qualified and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team. This full-time position involves providing psychological services to students across K-12 grade levels. The ideal candidate will support students' academic, social, and emotional success through assessments, interventions, and collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' needs and determine eligibility for special education services.
- Intervention: Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- IEP Participation: Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Consultation: Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and administrators on strategies to address students' academic and behavioral challenges.
- Crisis Intervention: Offer crisis intervention and support for students experiencing emergencies.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and external agencies to support student success.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school psychology.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Ohio state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency with educational technology and tools.
