Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services to students with visual impairments across multiple campuses.
- Manage caseload of 20-25 students, with varying degrees of visual impairment.
- Develop and implement IEP goals, using SIRAS for documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff and the Alternative Media Specialist for adaptive materials and Braille.
- Case management and service delivery within contracted hours.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) credential.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience with case management and IEPs.
Position Details:
- Classroom: Itinerant across multiple campuses within the district.
- Hours per Week: 32.5 hours.
- Weekly Pay: Competitive based on experience.
- Benefits: Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K.
- Contract Duration: Current school year with the option to extend for summer school and the 2024-2025 school year.
