School Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistants - Lawrence, MA
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Lawrence, MA. This is a full-time position serving students from kindergarten to 12th grade throughout the entire school year.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment: Assist in conducting speech and language assessments under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Intervention: Implement speech and language therapy interventions as prescribed by the supervising SLP.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and therapy sessions.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the SLP, teachers, and other support staff to support student needs.
- Communication: Provide updates to parents and caregivers regarding student progress and recommended home strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
- License: Valid SLPA license for the state of Massachusetts.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
