School-Based SLI Needed in Grayson, Kentucky

Job Title: Full-Time School-Based Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) – Grayson, Kentucky

Introduction:
Exciting new opportunity in Grayson, Kentucky! We're looking for a skilled and passionate Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to support a 2nd-grade female student for the remainder of the school year. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a student's life while enjoying great benefits and support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for a 2nd-grade student in the classroom.
• Ensure the student can fully access the curriculum through communication support.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and the student's family to create a positive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records and meet with the IEP team as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky license from the KY Board of Interpreters for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH).
• 4.0 EIPA score or higher required.
• Strong sign language skills and classroom management experience.
• Experience with students who may have hearing loss is a plus.

Position Details:

• Classroom: Onsite, working directly with the student in a classroom setting.
• Hours per Week: Full-Time, 35 hours per week.
• Weekly Pay: Competitive pay based on experience.
