Onsite Position
We’re looking for two dedicated Paraprofessionals to join a supportive team in Port Orchard, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an elementary school setting and make a lasting impact on students’ educational journeys. If you have experience working one-on-one with students and are passionate about supporting learning, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, ensuring their academic and social success.
- Assist in classroom management and implement behavioral strategies as directed by the teacher.
- Support students in completing their classwork and other activities as needed.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure student progress.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/First Aid Certification required.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
- ProACT de-escalation and restraint training.
- Paraeducator Certificate Program completion required.
- Experience working with students in an elementary school setting is a top priority, followed by middle school experience.
- 1:1 experience with students is a must.
Position Details:
- Classroom: Elementary School
- Hours per Week: 6.25 hours per day
- Weekly Pay: Competitive pay based on experience.
- Benefits: Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K plan.
- Contract Duration: ASAP – June 5, 2025, with the option to extend for the 2024-2025 school year.
