School Paraprofessional – Durham, NC
Start Date: ASAP | End Date: June 11, 2025 | Full-Time – 35 hours per week

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a 1st-grade student with autism, providing crucial support to help them stay on task and manage breaks. Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a 1st-grade student with autism.
• Assist the student with staying on task and taking breaks as needed.
• Help the student with academic tasks and ensure progress on or near grade level.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement support strategies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 48 semester hours of college-level education, or
• Associate degree or higher, or
• Passing scores on ACT WorkKeys assessments:
  • Applied Math: 4
  • Workplace Documents: 4
  • Business Writing: 3 or
  • Graphic Literacy: 4.

Position Details:

• Classroom: 1st Grade, 1:1 Support
• Hours per Week: 35 hours
• Weekly Pay: Competitive salary
