School Based Occupational Therapist - Wapato, WA

Bilingual Therapies is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment for all students. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time, in-person role will involve working with a diverse caseload of students to help them achieve their fullest potential.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 80 students, working both directly and indirectly to address their occupational therapy needs.
• Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and school environments.
• Collaborate with and provide consultative support to teachers, parents, and other school staff regarding students' progress and strategies to support their needs.
• Supervise and work alongside 2 in-person Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to ensure comprehensive care.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments.
• Document and maintain accurate records of students' progress and services provided.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational goals.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid Washington state license in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
