School Based Occupational Therapist - Wapato, WA
Bilingual Therapies is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment for all students. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time, in-person role will involve working with a diverse caseload of students to help them achieve their fullest potential.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 80 students, working both directly and indirectly to address their occupational therapy needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and school environments.
- Collaborate with and provide consultative support to teachers, parents, and other school staff regarding students' progress and strategies to support their needs.
- Supervise and work alongside 2 in-person Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to ensure comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments.
- Document and maintain accurate records of students' progress and services provided.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational goals.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Washington state license in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
