Job Title: School Occupational Therapist (OT) - Fredericksburg, VA
Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Start Date: Late January/Early February 2025
End Date: End of 2025
Caseload: Elementary and Middle School (38 students total)
Hours: Full-Time, onsite only

We are looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join a school in Fredericksburg, VA, for maternity leave coverage starting in late January or early February 2025. This full-time, onsite position will have you working with elementary and middle school students, with a manageable caseload of 38 students. You'll be providing hands-on therapy to help students develop essential skills and reach their goals in a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to elementary and middle school students
Assess student needs and develop individualized therapy plans
Implement strategies to support motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate OT goals into classroom activities
Document progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and participate in IEP meetings

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Valid Virginia Occupational Therapy License
Experience working with elementary and middle school students (preferred)
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Position Details:

Classroom: Elementary and middle school (38 students total)
Hours per Week: Full-Time
Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Contract Duration: Maternity leave coverage, from late January/early February through the end of 2025
