Registered Nurse (RN) – Summer School in Gages Lake, IL

Sunbelt is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) with one year of experience in pediatrics or schools for the summer session in Gages Lake, IL. This school is looking for a flexible and compassionate RN. Minimum Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited RN program accepted by the Illinois Board of Nursing for licensure
• Current RN license recognized by the State of IL Board of Nursing
• Current Basic Life Support, American Heart Association
• 1 year of School or Peds RN experience (preferred)
• Covid vaccination (preferred)
• Familiar with Individualized Education Plans

Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid care and health assessment
• Provide vision and hearing screenings
• Write care plans and coordinate the care of students with chronic or acute health conditions
• Communicate with teachers and staff to ensure the safety and well-being of students
• Administer medications and monitor delegated medication administration
• Traditional Nursing Duties
• All other duties as assigned

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 8:15am-12:15pm, 6/9 and 7/14 are full days from 8:15a-3:00p

No school on June 20^th or July 4th

Employment Type: Contract

Location: On-site

Dates: June 9^th-July 14^th

Caseload: 1 student with seizure disorder and traditional nursing duties
