ASL Interpreter – Issaquah, Washington
We're looking for a part-time ASL Interpreter to support a 7th grade student with mild hearing loss in Issaquah, WA. Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 ASL interpretation for a medically fragile student with mild hearing loss.
- Travel between two school sites (if onsite), ensuring smooth communication throughout the day.
- Work closely with the student and staff to promote educational success.
- Ensure accurate, clear interpretation for classroom activities and communication.
Qualifications:
- EIPA with a minimum score of 4.0 OR NIC Certification.
- Passing score on the EIPA written test.
- Experience with ASL interpretation and working with students.
- Washington State ASL Interpreter Certification preferred.
- Onsite preferred, but virtual candidates will be considered.
Position Details:
- Location: Issaquah, WA (Travel between two school sites required if onsite)
- Hours per Week: Up to 19.5 hours
- Dates: ASAP – 06/18/2024
- Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience
- Benefits: Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K plan.
- Contract Duration: Current school year with the possibility to extend for summer school and 2024-2025 school year.
