Bilingual Therapies is seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. These full-time positions involve supporting students across K-12th grade in various specialized settings, including self-contained classrooms, social/emotional support environments, and behavior intervention programs. The ideal candidates will be passionate about working with students, have strong communication skills, and be committed to making a positive impact on student learning and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students in self-contained, social/emotional, and behavior support classrooms.
  • Classroom Assistance: Provide direct support to teachers in managing classroom activities, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • 1:1 and Group Support: Offer personalized support to students on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping them to stay engaged and successful in their academic and social activities.
  • Behavioral Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and managing student behavior, providing positive reinforcement and implementing strategies to address challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to support student needs and foster their academic and social development.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and any interventions provided.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Technician Certification: Must have or be willing to obtain an Ed Tech certification (easy to apply for with a high school diploma). We offer reimbursement for certification costs.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with students in a school setting, particularly in behavior management, social/emotional support, or special education, is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
