Paraprofessional Opportunity in Gettysburg, PA

We’re seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to work one-on-one with a second-grade student in a dual diagnosis program at York Learning Center (YLC) in York, PA. Join us in a highly individualized and supportive environment tailored for students with unique needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide safety monitoring and support throughout the school day.
• Assist in implementing a structured behavior plan.
• Collaborate with school staff—no need for physical restraint, as only trained staff handle those needs if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with special education or behavioral support is preferred.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills are essential.

Position Details:

• Classroom: Center-based in York Learning Center within the LIU 12 footprint.
• Hours per Week: Full-time.
• Weekly Pay: Competitive pay based on experience.

Contract Duration: Current school year 2024-2025.
